The Offline Music App
Tunetopia was an app made to combat the always-online nature of a lot of modern music applications. This app is offline with a focus on simply storing, sorting and playing music on smartphones. No hassle, no advertisements for irrelevant podcasts, and no complicated additions that muddy the song-listening experience.
Here you can see the album list (right) with the sidebar pulled out (left.) I wanted the transition to be very smooth but understandable. The album blocks are large and clear, focusing on the two pieces of information necessary for the user. The album title itself, and the artist.
Playing a Song
The screen where the user plays has a sleek, clearly understandable design. The main idea of the app being meant for a simple experience, this is shown in the kind of information I wanted the play screen to display.
You have your next songs in a row along the bottom. This makes it easy to jump to an upcoming song. The timeline for the song circles the central image in a clear way to inform the viewer of how much time is remaining.
